Finally friggin Friday!

So this week has been slow moving for the most part...I think things are finally starting to settle down for Lloyd and I for a change so we are finding we have time for nothing...and nothing is good.

Yesterday was our 10 Year Anniversary. I went and got him a nice Fossil silver watch. It was ironic, I sought input from two people and got two different sets of ideas. I mushed them both together and figured that the watch was the best. He was very happy and wanted his bling on right now but I couldn't figure out how to set the band on it so I sent him back to Herbergers to have them help him.

He got me flowers (very pretty roses which everyone has come into my office and nearly sucked all the scent out of) and a Precious Moments figuring of a boy proposing to his Bride. Very sweet. he wanted the 10 year anniversary one but after combing all of Bismarck and Mandan he came up empty and wanted to have something. It's beautiful and in our china hutch with our wedding picture of us kissing in the limo after the ceremony.

We went to dead lobster last night too. I wanted fish and was willing to cook as we are going to do more when we go to Orlando in October for our anniversary but he wanted to go out. It was a nice peaceful and restful evening. Both of us are just exhausted from all the chaos that we have been living in since May so it was nice to have a calm evening.

Carson is still in Montana so we didn't get a call from Kelly last night of the upcoming weekend plans. She tends to do this every week and it drives Lloyd crazy. He loves being a big brother and loves Carson but some times entertaining a 9 year old is rather taxing and expensive. We have been trying to curb the expense part of it a bit as well, we have our own expenses to deal with.

Lloyd and I were talking about the adoption last night too and we haven't heard when our home assessment is going to be which we found odd...more cracking of skulls will need to be done.

The Artist...

so here I am painting again, but now I am touching up the walls where the dudes that installed the carpet really did a friggin number and the poker table has scuffs in it from being out in the garage.

I hope not to drool paint on the floor.

pray for me.

Someone's got a case of the Monday's...

Yeah, you damn right.

I am tired and semi lazy. I don't feel like being at work and overall I could really use a nappy.

It was a busy weekend for us again. Lloyd went golfing and dumped off the lawn mower at the land fill and I went to Parker's baby shower ( got to hold my little man for the entire gift opening...he was a superstar!)

After that is when I went to Sam's an embarassed my sad self.

After that I went out with Celeste. Went to Bistro for drinky poos and had hardly any food so it didn't take much martini to get one all "worldly wise". So Lloyd shows up and looks at us and just shakes his head...don't think he wanted to be associated with us.

Well we went to Jerry's to sit by his fire pit but before we got there the drunk ones went to Captain Jacks to stock up their liquor land. Celeste was mumbling about some raspberry sparkle stuff...note: I can't drink that again. That was like fuzzy Boone's Farm and I still feel fuzzy from it!

She was all pissy because the stuff was warm and while we were at the till the guys working there were giving us a bad time so they felt compelled to walk us to the car. Well here is fairy man carrying two small purple bottles of wine. (should have just done mad dog because that probably would have been better.)

I turned to him and said: "Go get us some ice."

Well he looked at me like excuse me....

But the lap dog actually did it.

He comes up to Celeste's side of the RAV and says, "Here's your god damn ice!" He starts to laugh at us as we just start to squeal. Oh well, another man learning his place in the Kingdom of Me.
