Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Okay today was hands down a pile of smoking shit.

I took on call for Deb Ellison as her grand father died so I thought I would do a service and be nice. There was my first mistake of the day.

My worst non custodial came it. Told me that I am shit, the program is shit, and that overall everything sucks.

One of my custodials came in, she was just illiterate. I could deal with her.

Next guy was just pissy about income withholding till I noticed that the due on arrears was out of this world and that there may be an offset which no one told me about, nice. Fixed him.

Then Laura was at lunch and some appointment, got stuck listening to one of her custodials rant about her sperm donor and how she is going to term his parental rights. Get an attorney.

Then my phone was nuts after I got back from lunch. I think I had about 8 calls.

Then one of my grouchy bitches came in and ripped my ass because she is overpaid. Well, when I asked her how much money she gets a month from social security for direct benefits she couldn't say. She proceeded to yell at me for over a half hour, everyone in the office just sat there and let her do it to. When I told her that at this point there wasn't much I could do she said that I can apologize all I want but she wants money. Well that says a lot. Kanye, you were right, she is a "Gold Digger!"

After that I nearly was in tears. I felt like everything that I try to make right in my day was just tossed into a waste basket of hopelessness. I did manage to get a few things done between all that chaos, but not a whole lot.

One shining accomplishment is that I have is a pretty good bet going with one of my friends. That perked me up pretty good and it brightened my mood. I have a pretty good shot at winning too, so now comes the task of determining what I want.

Suggestions are always welcome.

There are conditions so I have to be good.

*watches Halo fall to the ground*

Oops. My bad.
(thanks Dusty...hee!)

Since I have been home, the phone has rang twice, Lloyd's cell too. It's Kelly. Carson did a small baddie the other day and well needless to say he has been in a lot of trouble.

Him and his friend Zack, went door to door with a coffee can stating that they were with the boy scouts and they were taking donations. The collected $23 in cash and then went to Loaf & Jug and got $16 worth of candy and gorged themselves. Zack's mom found out about the donations and told Kelly.

She wasn't sure what to do so she called here. Lloyd told her to call the cops as Carson just doesn't have any respect for her and really has been bad about listening since they moved in July.

So she called the cops. They really didn't do much the night of but it did manage to make it's way to the 6 o'clock news on KXMB Tuesday as the actual Boy Scouts are starting their popcorn sales.

So now with the calls, I am wondering if something happened. Lloyd isn't home as he was going to go out and have a few drinks with the boys after he came home which he hasn't done yet. I don' t want to talk to Kelly about it as at this point I am trying to take a back seat to this and let Kelly & Lloyd figure it out. Carson needs to be dealt with but I don't know if this is our role as a part of the BB/BS program.

So here I sit, scared to answer the phone, exhausted, and really too lazy to do anything except maybe shop for some rocking shoes as I found a pair at Herberger's last night that I am going to see if I can find for less online. I am not willing to shell out $90 right now for shoes. I think I would rather spend that on booze.

Damn - I double posted.

I am a retard.

At least I have looks going for me or I have managed to surround myself with liars.

Either way I win.

Like Spam in a Holocaust, We Survived!

Well we made it through another session at the Village. It was more of formality than anything else...the person we are currently are seeing thinks that we should be able to move forward but yet there are two social workers that are holding up the process.

Severely irritating.

They are working on the ditch in the back yard too. I thought about pictures but I don't know if I want to remember this when it is done, I just want it over. We may have to redo the hill aka hell but I guess that is what they may have to do. They parked a huge bucket in the middle and there are ruts now and they rolled over some of my junipers. I guess if those go I will survive as it it hard to mow around them but I will have to come up with a strategy for the hill or we are going to hire someone to come in and do something with it. There is just so much yard I don't know what we are going to do with it. It's too overwhelming to tackle all over again.

I just finished up with the checkbooks...ick. The new statements we get from the bank are the biggest pieces of shit I have ever seen. I used to be able to get through our statement in about 20 minutes or so, now it takes me nearly an hour. For some reason they think that putting stuff in the order it goes through the bank is easier for you to read than it would if the transactions were broken out by categories and then in date order. Apparently I must be either stupid or stubborn and this is becoming more of a task due to those issues.

Gram sent some pics with her and Wee Man from Friday as well and Lance and Parker. I will get them up here soon as I have to scan them since they came snail mail and I am entirely too lazy to go upstairs and get them.

Mollie says cheese as that was easier to post.

Since Momma Asked...

Okay so Lloyd went out on a ride along Saturday with one of the officers from the PD.

I will try to recall what he told me about...

They had to go over to the apartments on Washington as apparently someone there stole a car. They get there and there is a small boy all alone by the garages bawling, so they go check on him.

Scared of the Halloween decorations in his apartment.

Then someone comes up to them and says that a lady can breathe.

She didn't take her inhaler.

They never did find the joker that took the car I don' t think.

Then they went to the Coral Bar, loud music. Not anything against their permit that they had for a live band but everyone there is pretty rough so Lloyd and the boys in Blue looked rather out of place.

They went to a call of a loud party down by Sertoma Park. A house party were Lloyd swore lemmings were coming out as there was approximately 100 kids in this house. Cars everywhere...he really wasn't sure where they all could have come from as there were so many.

Then there was a call about loud music.

That was us over at the Oar.

hee.

Okay today has been long, drawn, and screwed up. I am so tired, and my hands hurt so bad from writing out those questionnaires for tomorrow. Two long things, so we can justify ourselves. Oh joy.

And people wonder why I get pissy, everyone is taking up my free time.

I have sat and enjoyed myself for 20 minutes tonight, that is it and I was multitasking as I was watching the news and looking at the new US Weekly.

Oh good lord, don't overindulge...

Otherwise I am now going to go upstairs, grab my mag, read it again, and watch some friggin' football. Sounds like the Saints finally scored a touchdown this season.

Drew Brees lives to get another whiff of Sewer Stench air in New Orleans. What a treat.

Sunday.....Sunday!

Okay so I suck, it has been a few days since I posted...I have been a bit busy and I haven't been on the computer so I haven't had a chance.

Friday we had our adoption meeting, that went okay. They want us to go thru some marriage counseling touchy feely stuff so here we go. There is a report thing that we have to do before our meeting on Tuesday, I haven't really looked it over because I haven't had time but I guess I will look it over tomorrow night to see what it actually consists of and what I have to do.

Saturday I had a hair appointment that I had to move to early in the morning so I made a small oops...stayed in bed till 9:20, needed to be at the salon at 10:00 so it was a fast shower, no breakfast, no coffee, no nothing.

After I got home (a bit after 12) I wolfed down a bowl of cereal and went to tan. After that it was to Kohl's as I am looking for fall shoes. I just can't find what I really want or think would be "me"...

After that Lloyd, Carson, and I went out on the riverboat. One of the insurance agents in town does donate certain things to BB/BS and this time was a river boat ride. I was absolutely beautiful on Saturday and it was lovely to see all the cottonwoods along the river starting to turn. Since it was so nice (about 85 or so) there were a lot of people out enjoying the Missouri. I was actually really surprised.

It was two hours but they really could have kept us out there longer as it was so nice and peaceful...

Came back home, cleaned up and had supper and then Lloyd went on a Ride Along with one of the officers from the Bismarck PD. I went to the Bistro with Celeste and we were hoping that we would not draw the attention of the BPD.

We stayed, chatted, ate, and then made our way to the Oar.

Not really sure if there was a major change, it had only been about a month ago I was there but whatever I was witnessing last night was not your usual Oar crowd.

There were Stripperellas all over the place. Rap music. Someone actually was scratching. That was why I got such a good parking spot.

At first we thought that maybe the scratching was going to stop...oh no. Neither did the Tramps getting it on with each other and their boy toys were way too pretty to be straight. I am really still wondering what I saw.

Two guys were a table over from us and they were getting quite a kick out of it. I think they noticed that Celeste and I were making fun of the Raunchy Bunch so they slid over and made conversation with us. Completely harmless but it was interesting having them guess or ages.

We left at close and we went home. Celeste told me she drunk dialed last night this morning so I thought that was interesting. I know that was not her intention as she trys not do to that...I hope I wasn't being a catalyst for bad behavior.

There was one thing that bothered me last night about those two: the one figured out who I was before our guessing game was over. "I know who you are, you are Deb S. I see your name all the time...."

That nearly made me shit my pants. I was about ready to grab Celeste and get the hell out as I wasn't sure if all the sudden I was face to face with one of my boys but I figured I would play it cool and see what shook out. Apparently he is an accountant for one of the construction outfits here in town and processes my income with holding orders. Whew. But I did ask that million dollar question: "Do you have kids?" Nope for both. The other one was kind of funny, he works for Bianco - I had no clue. He looked a bit construction-ish yet was too pretty for it. Actually he reminded me of someone else I know which probably threw me way off base.

Today we got up, and then I was at it with the tomatoes. A whole box ripened on me so I was cutting tomatoes till after noon, then I had to run to Dan's to get my stuff for stew and to finish my newest round of salsa. So I will be peddling again. Nevermind that I have four more boxes to cut up.

Then I mowed grass and took a bath. Lloyd is back now from his search warrant so off to watch more Heroes.
