More Rain...Come On!
Oops, hit enter too many times and posted nothing. We will try this again.
So today I only had to work a half, it was nice. I got home after Lloyd and I went out for lunch and started laundry, put away the dishwasher, checked the email, folded towels, ran and got groceries, fixed a relish tray, and now I am making some chili.
What a difference 4 hours off can make.
So I figured I would blog quick, check the chili, check the dark clothes then wait for Lloyd to come home.
It's raining or it has been most of the day now so I have no desire to go outside. The hose is out in the ditch and I really should go get it as it is really bothering me but I don't want to be in that muck and then deal with a dirty hose too. Lame excuse but I am attempting to buy it.
We have been invited to a Tiki Party tomorrow night. Now my question is, what is the difference between a Luau and a Tiki Party? Are they one in the same? Am I over analyzing this? Hey, that is what I do for a living so of course if is as serious as a drunken stupor I am going to figure it out one way or another.
So I am guessing a grass skirt is acceptable by any standard. So I am going to go see what I can round up. And no, I am not going to go get myself a coconut bra...I haven't lost that much weight to feel that free to whip out the girls.
Lloyd needs something too, maybe he can have a grass skirt as well. He doesn't need a shirt - lucky that is acceptable. Better not take him to the liquor store like that. No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service. Depending where you go you don't get service anyway so what is the big ass deal?
On Sunday I think we are going to take a road trip to the Peace Garden. We have never been there and I just want to say we went SOMEWHERE this summer. Not that this is mitigating our trip to Orlando, heaven's no, just that I want to get out of Bismarck for a day and breathe. We can take the girls so that is fun too. I might have to go get them longer leashes as their short ones may not cut it for all that excitement they likely will encounter.
Speaking of the girls, the place where we tan - the owner's daughter has a half boston/jack russell mix. She's five years old, naughty, but has a wonderful personality. She was a part of a large litter that someone was attempting to over price the dogs.
Well upon hearing about this, I whip out my cell and start fumbling thru my many pictures of the girls and we are now convinced that we found some siblings for Mollie & Torrie. Lucy seems to be just like Mollie, but fatter (if you can believe it - she's 41 pounds!) and a bit more white around the face. Of course I found this interesting so we are going to try to arrange a play date for the dogs at the dog park. Her Granddaughter makes doggie cakes so I am guessing that we will have some cake...good lord. I thought our dogs were spoiled!
Well, with that I am off to see if my Chili is going to turn out like shit and wind up in the garbage disposal.
hee.
